Panera!

I am sitting here at Panera having a Pumkin Spice latte! YUM...we do not have a Panera in Victoria, but a hardback cafe does make a mean latte if you are in need of one.

What a wonderful weekend I had. I went to the Austin Area Guild Quilt Show this past weekend. I did not get to see all the goodies, but I had a wonderful time. I did get to see Jennifer's quilt (Sewhook) up close  (the project of Doom). Beautiful piece of work. Congrats Jennifer.

I also had the pleasure of sitting in on some demostrations and I picked up a tip or two. Wonderful presentations given by the guild. Now all I have to do is apply what I have picked up to my mystery quilt.  I look forward to the next show in 2 years. Thank you AAQG!

Mystery Quilt

Why I am posting today, I finally have my mystery quilt all together. I changed one of the blocks completely for a different fabric. I manage to get two of the rows off, but it will not matter, I will fix it when I add a border before I sandwich. The quilt size I believe is 59"x 59".  It may get bigger . ???? If you have been following along the Beginner's Quilt Along over at Quilting Gallery, Mishka Ottawa and Pat Sloan have put together a mystery block quilt along for those like me that are new to quilting. We are in our final week and I cannot express how much this has helped me along the way. Also, I do not remember where I found the fabrics for this project, but I did not know what I was getting into either since it was a mystery quilt. I am happy that I picked up a tip or two at the AAQS and will try to apply them to the quilt. I look forward to the next quilt along. Make sure to check out all the photos in the Flickr gallery.

I am out of town this week and did bring some goodies to work on while away from my office. But, before I left, I also put together a mini for my table stand. I have not quilted the top yet, but my table stand is in need of a new mini.

Sew Sweet Sampler 12"x12"

Moda was having a Moda Designers Blog Hop and I found the pattern that Julie Comstock  at Cosmo Cricket from Austin, Texas had a sweet simple block for the hop and I am using it for my table stand. Click here to download the pattern or head over to Julie's blog. For more information, click here for a complete line up of all the designers block over at Moda. It ended last week but you can still visit all the designers and see the patterns.

Well, that is all and I am ready for some exploring today.

I did not bring my camera, but that never stops me with my iPhone to take some photos.

It looks like some wonderful weather today and I love it when the season is changing. Just not my allergies!

Have a wonderful day and see ya soon....
