Found some goodies!

Yesterday, I dropped off my WDH at one of his customer site and afterwards, I headed to the local Pandera. We do not have a Pandera here in town and when my WDH is working out of town, I do take my Pandera card out racking up the points for a free pastry, drink or bagel. YUM!
We do have a Hardback Cafe here in town and the Barista's are wonderful. They even bake the muffins and the brownies that I love. It's a good thing that we live so far out of town to drive in everyday. That is another story.

Anyway, I did my local shopping at Michaels, which we do not have either. We used to have a Joann Fabric.
There is a sweet quilt shop in town and also in another town by the gulf. We live between the two small towns and the distance is about the same either direction. We try to limit our driving since fuel is way to high.
I do make my own Latte at home, but it is not the same.
Anyway, sorry for getting off track.

After my shopping, I hit the local antique shops in LaPorte, TX.
Here are my goodies:

I found a little magazine called Puff Quilts from Coats & Clark's Book No. 250 dated back in 1975 for .25 cents.  You think it was early Christmas for me.

Then a Singer tin can with handles. It was for $1.00 and it would be great for all my singer attachments.

I also found another tin can and will use it for my PFAFF attachments.
I used to have an old over night case back when I was so young. I would put all my treasures that were so dear to me and take it everywhere with me. When I was a teenager, I used it for all my makeup and then I do not know what happen to it when I was in college. I loved that old case and when I saw the blue one up for 75% off. I asked the salesman for the price and paid for it.

It still had the name and address from the previous owners.
I will be going through all my stash and redo the inside of the case.

It needs some TLC.  Great to put sewing projects in and easy to take with me on trips with my WDH.
Will see how this project works out.

We are heading out of town again next week and it truly puts a halt to all my sewing. No room for my machine and my featherweight needs attention.
Good thing I have backup sewing machine, but too bulky to take with me on the trips. It's hand sewing on the trips till I take my featherweight into the shop or when I have more time to sew at home.
